28 pounds? That must have been one huge cat. The name grabs me, of course, since my son's name is Jonathan. Jonathan was dangerous as a child, too. I hope Jonathan Dangerous, the cat had a peaceful passing.
Uncle Ron almost got it right. Jonathan Dangerous (JD) was a portly cat and was 21 pounds at his largest. His friend, Mordecai, however is a 28 lb. Maine Coon, who isn't finished growing....
Rowena- for the life of me, I simply can not understand why people own cats. Or, was it, cats end up owning them.
Kay- it's possibly because The Cat (R.I.P.) never exercised. Never was let outside the apt in NYC or the house in the N.E. in 11-years.
Ann- again, my deepest condolences for the passing of JD. Have you found a taxidermist yet?
Nate- I would no sooner post a pic of The Cat while he was on his 9th life, much less in the wake thereof. Btw, did you read over my write up on how to embed the Revolver Maps (scroll down) widget in the sidebar, yet?
Anonymous- that remains for more of a special occasion.
Think I have an earlier version of the template/setup so I don't have the "Add Gadget" command. Don't know whether to upgrade since everything works fine. As Yogi said "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" or something like that.
Nate- at any rate, widgets are notorious for causing conflicts with the rest of a webpage, so there's always a downside. I donno how much testing widgets go through before making them available to the public.
Sorry to hear about that man. My mom's cat, Scooter, died about a year ago. It was sad for both of us, because visiting my mom's house meant visiting him. He was there for 13 years.
So... I kinda understand.
That's a big cat though! My biggest only weighs about 8 pounds.
We think he was genetically prone to being that big. He was a big boy...overweight, but he had a large frame, too. If you want to see pictures, JD had a blog. Seriously. http://jdamn.blogspot.com. His obituary serves as the final entry.
Ann da sista - JD's blog is great! Maybe RONW should get a real pet. Hard to establish a relationship to a cycle that's chained up in the garage most of the time.

Brad- that's like over 200-years-old for a human.
Ann- I understand.
Nate- that said, I haven't the slightest what the ever to talk further about dead cats in the near future, maybe until, year 2070.
