Revelation 8:8–11. “The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea became blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed … A third of the waters became wormwood, and many died from the water, because it was made bitter.”

Revelation 16:3: “The second angel poured his bowl into the sea, and it became like the blood of a corpse, and every living thing in the sea died.”

The Newsweek article says that people are saying that the oil is tinging the water red and that it looks like blood. I figured I'd come across an article mentioning something like this eventually. It makes sense, but those prophecies can be interpreted to fit numerous situations.

Brad- I wonder

Well, based on what I've read in the Bible, I think that if God started unleashing judgments on the world they wouldn't be subtle and up for debate. It would be pretty obvious what was going on, like the parting of the Red Sea, the Great Flood, the killing of all firstborn children, etc. The Apocalypse is supposed to be epic.

Hmmm... would this make BP move a little faster if they knew it was moving back toward Britain?

Brad- with all the anti-religion legislation in recent years, we're bound to encounter some bad force majeure.

Kay- BP wouldn't give a hoot even if the oil flowed up the Thames.
