Here's some pics from tonight's Honolulu Festival Parade in Waikiki which culminates the annual Friday-to-Sunday Honolulu Festival, itself. "The Honolulu Festival is Hawaii's premier cultural event, promoting understanding, economic cooperation and ethnic harmony between the people of Hawaii and the Pacific Rim region."

You guys are sure hogging the sunshine there, but wait....where is a picture of GEORGE?? Somebody told me that he was filming in Waikiki.
nice pics! My son-in-law worked at the festival, paid by the hour. He was in charge of the main stage.
Rowena- but, it's been so windy lately. Started the same time they announced parking fees at the Pali Lookout, if you're the superstitious type.
gigi-hawaii- I'm getting better takin pictures. I'm not sure if what you mean by the "main stage" is the same as the announcer booth (Pacific Beach), but I was across the street from the announcer and it was surely more informative than just watching from another vantage points.
This is so cool! I wish we went to see it. I've been so holed up over here. Love your photos!
Kay- this is among the better parades through Waikiki from the watchers' point of view because of the sheer variety.
