Cloudia- upgrading is really tricky. The lens are larger on a more expensive camera, but to get better resolution is better left up to the pros.
Check page 76 of your manual and set the camera to "Vivid" if it isn't set there already. I think it'll be an improvement.
owner- Now, you tell me. I'm experimenting with the "vivid" setting as we speak. Usually alphabets on signs are clear. It's people that aren't as sharp (at mid-distance), even on "sports" setting. I'll have to take some shots at the beach to verify how much the vivid setting improves over the old. Thankx again.
owner- forget to mention, the info was indeed on page 76 in the manual.
