They're really bacon-wrapped peach slices in celebration of National Peach Month. You didn't think they were potato wedges. via Slashfood

I'm thinking it might be better if it WAS potatoes. I kinda missed the whole bacon craze thing though.

I like bacon, but it really isn't good for me...

I'll take fruit any day, though.

Brad- well, the bacon craze is still alive and doing well. For the individual consumer, bacon's not that cheap sold in 12-oz instead of 16-lbs packages. Plus when you fry it up they shrink a lot. The thicker sliced are even more expensive.

gigi- agree, bacon's not the healthiest thing. Fruits, yes.

Oh, good grief! That looks totally yummy! I LOVE bacon even though it's not good for me either. I love peaches, too. Hmmm... It's close to dinner time... sort of. That must be why I'm salivating.

Kay- just bought a fresh peach today because peaches were on sale for under a $1. Half ripe, half raw.

I see that slashfood has gone savory with the peaches this time around. Last time I had a slashfood update, they were featuring my sexy italian meringue-topped peaches...happy peach month.

Rowena- heck, I didn't even realize that this month was National Peach Month until I read the Slashfood post. And the month's about over.
