They're a weird fruit, that's for sure, but they're not genetically engineered. They're naturally occurring, at least according to an article I read. Not sure how reliable the source is though.

Brad- missed that. Nature is more amazing than GMO's.
For now. Just wait until they find the 'cure' for aging, the way to increase our physical strength, or in a related field, start hooking our heads into the internet. It'll be a whole new world.

Well, like any new technology, I'm sure someone will try to weaponize it. That's just life. People are always trying to make money off of human suffering.
Personally, I think the world will be a better place when we can access the world's wealthy of information with a thought, 'download' the ability to speak a foreign language, stream video entertainment into our heads while on the train, etc. etc. Imagine how much faster learning would be. Imagine the heights we could reach if everything we consider advanced learning now could be learned in a matter of months, rather than decades.
