Tuesday's

a pineberry. Molded in the shape of a strawberry but tastes like a pineapple. Kinda stupid to me. If you offered diners the choice between a pineapple and a strawberry, most would pick the strawberry over a bitesize morsel of pineapple. Thus, the geneticists should have instead bred a fruit that looks like a pineapple, but tastes like a strawberry. That would be a supersized strawberry to boot. Story from ABC News via SLASHFOOD.

Tiger Woulds returns to the Masters. The drama will lie in the "in the hole....in the hole...." exclamations from the gallery after he putts the golf ball which will carry a double entendre due to past events.

They're a weird fruit, that's for sure, but they're not genetically engineered. They're naturally occurring, at least according to an article I read. Not sure how reliable the source is though.

"Discovered wild in South America and rescued from extinction by Dutch farmers, they can now be bought in Waitrose."

Brad- missed that. Nature is more amazing than GMO's.

For now. Just wait until they find the 'cure' for aging, the way to increase our physical strength, or in a related field, start hooking our heads into the internet. It'll be a whole new world.

Brad- they'll make excellent human weapons.

Well, like any new technology, I'm sure someone will try to weaponize it. That's just life. People are always trying to make money off of human suffering.

Personally, I think the world will be a better place when we can access the world's wealthy of information with a thought, 'download' the ability to speak a foreign language, stream video entertainment into our heads while on the train, etc. etc. Imagine how much faster learning would be. Imagine the heights we could reach if everything we consider advanced learning now could be learned in a matter of months, rather than decades.
