This gizmo charges up the little battery for a "smokeless cigarette" by plugging it into the nearest USB port. There's different brands of smokeless cigarettes around like Green Smoke and Smoke 51 which I've been looking into being that we pay over $2 in state tobbaco taxes on top of the federal tax for a pack of cigarettes in Hawaii nei. With smokeless cigarettes, you exhale only water vapor or fog. The advantage is that it's not 25¢ a puff anymore. A state quarter a puff, LOL. Smoke 51 is on sale at Long's Drugstore, but then I came across a promo for a free starter kit for Smoke 51 on an Internet ad. Clicked to the site. They only require that you pay the postage, the starter kit is free. But there's a glitch on the manufacturer's website. After you've inputed your credit card info for the postage, the submit button doesn't take you anywhere, however still leaves all your personal info visible on the manufacturer's webpage. Kinda makes you wonder, kind of a thing. "Scam," enters your mind. Somebody could actually offer an item for "free" if you agree to pay the postage, and in the process of paying the postage with your credit card, you've volunteered a lot of private information. Hmmmmm.

They're adding another $1 tax to cigarettes in CT next week to help fill the budget gap...I think that brings it up to $7/pack. Ciggies cost $10/pack in New York - can't believe my friend Steven continues to smoke even though it costs that much money!!!!
Ann- if the smokeless cigarettes take off, as I think they will, a lot of states will go bankrupt. States went overboard with the tax, and they might have to lower the tax, and how would they be able to rationalize the decrease.
Knowing the crazy Democrats here in Hawaii, they going try taxing the smokeless cigarettes too.
Nate- no doubt about that. However it's never been done in any other state so far.
Interesting point about the state governments shooting themselves in their feet with the continual raising of the cigarette tax. Eventually people will give it up because they won't be able to afford it and then the states will have lost a source of income. Then they'll look to tax something else. Probably vegetables. Ya, because they're asshats like that. They'll call it the "Healthy Living Tax" or something.
Keep an eye on your credit card statement RONW.
Brad- some states are getting serious about taxing soda. Diet soda gets a pass.
Sheeshh...they already getting us for the recycle stuff on cans and bottles !!!
What's next - gum, candies, shaved ice?
Nate- a tax on obesity. Then a surcharge to use the official scale.
And a tax to feel the sand between your toes at the beaches !!!
Plus getting some rays !!!
Beach Police !!!
That's really retarded considering that it's proven that diet soda is worse for you than regular. I can't remember the details but it was something like it makes you hungrier so you wind up eating more and putting on more weight.
