Wednesday's Postcard

Along the Ala Wai canal, it's voggy.  It's not the postcard scene that the Hawaii Visitor Bureau would want publicized, but with a state that sports an active volcano, today's weather is reality.  Yeah, voggy weather only happens when the wind blows from the direction of the volcano on the Big Island.  As always, our trade winds will return from hiatus and the trade winds will disperse the vog out to sea.  This is just another reason why we should vote Barack Obama into the office of the presidency.  A president-elect Obama will insure that Honolulu has no more voggy weather.  Hillary Clinton couldn't do that.

Where are the non-smokers protestng against the vog and Pele? Gee, they can't go outside now. Ban vog! Call your legislator! Special session required!

Hi Nate- the most recent assault on civil liberties by the smoke nazis is advocating an official no-smoking ban in apartments buildings. Even non-smokers are upset about the scope of this proposed law. What makes it all even more lolo is that the two leaders of the smoke-free group are out-of-state people. I guess if they get the legislature to pass a smoking ban in apartment buildings in Hawaii, they'll move on to save another state. Condominium associations already have this authority, but the smoke-free zealots want to adjudicate it the law of the land.
